Empress veneers

Empress is a metal-free restorative material that has been used in dentistry for over 15 years. Empress restoration means that pieces of an all-ceramic material are created in a lab to fit perfectly in place where a cavity or previous dental work used to be.

Empress's long-lasting beauty and clinical success is supported by hundreds of scientific studies.

What is Empress used for?

Empress is used for performing mainly three types of dental restorations:

  1. repairing chipped, cracked, worn down teeth. This is done by Empress veneers
  2. eliminate dark fillings or cavities. That is done by Empress inlays/onlays.
  3. treating and repairing huge cavities, demages or weak teeth. That is done by Empress crowns.

What is an Empress veneer?

Empress veneer is a very thin ceramic shell strongly cemented onto the outer surface of the tooth. Each Empress veneer is created specifically for each indvidual patient. For this reason the treated tooth will feel like yours and not an alien item in your mouth. Empress veneers are invented to correct and treat dental demages such as chips, cracks, discolour.

Coffe, tea, wine and some medication leave their mark on our teeth: stains, discolour. Tooth whitening helps in some cases but in other's it doesn't. In these cases your dentist selects the colour shade that fits your personal preferences and characteristics the most and in cooperation with the technician's lab they creat a healthy, bright and natural looking smile for you with Empress.

With an Empress veneer you also get rid of gaps in between your teeth. They are called diastemas in dental therminology and are well cured with Empress crowns and/or veneers.

What is an Empress crown?

Also called „cap” Empress crown is a porcelain covering cemented into or over the entire tooth. It is administered in cases of extended cavities (larger then the half of the tooth) or of too weak teeth. With using Empress crowns you can forget dark lines or other telltale spots around the gumline.
